Monday 8th march 2011My speech topic: Why rules aren't important. My reading goal: I need to read during S.S.R. I know I have achieved this goal when I get a better reading age for reading. the help I will need at home is for any of my parents to take me to the library every week so i can get a book issued.My writing goal: I need to write at least more then half the page of a page when I do S.S.W. I will know I have achieved this when I start getting a full page done in S.S.W. The help i would need at home is to have a personal daily diary to help me with my writing.My math goal: To get more then 95/100 for my basic facts. I know I will have achieved this goal when I get straight 100/100. The help I will need at home is to always bring a basic facts sheet home or do some maths games on the internet.PB4L: My PB4L goal is to respect others and human rights.
My Science fair! My Aim: To find out how is carbon dioxide formed when baking soda and vinegar is mixed together. My hypothesis: I think that the more baking soda and vinegar you mix together the more carbon dioxide and bubbles you get. Equipment: 1 baking soda, 1 vinegar, sealable plastic bag,1 person, 2 hands. Method: Wrap some baking soda inside a tissue. Put the tissue inside the plastic bag.Pour in some vinegar inside the plastic bag.Seal the plastic.The tissue will get all soggy and soft.The baking soda should slowly rip out of the bag.The baking soda and the vinegar should mix together which will make carbon dioxide causing the plastic bag to expand so much and explode. Background research: I didn't do that much research, all I did was I searched some videos of science experiments on youtube at home and it came up with a TV show about science. It shows you a science experiment and also how it happens so I didn't really do any research.Results: Conclusion: I have finished all three experiments and all of them were good. I've gained a lot of information about carbon dioxide And know the results I have successfully completed my science fair and need to present it.
